The official launch is expected to be on May 20, 2025, coinciding with I/O 2025.

Google recently unveiled the design of the native NotebookLM app for both Android and iPhone, set to arrive in the coming weeks. The app promises a powerful and intuitive experience, allowing users to create, access, and manage notebooks easily. You’ll be able to upload PDFs, websites, YouTube videos, or paste text directly into your notebooks, and then ask questions or listen to AI-generated audio overviews—making learning and research more interactive and accessible.

The interface features tabs for Recent, Shared, Title, and Downloaded notebooks, with each notebook card including a prominent play button to launch audio summaries. You can also join podcasts to ask follow-up questions and steer conversations with AI hosts. Plus, the app integrates seamlessly with your device’s share sheet, making it simple to add sources from anywhere.
